Lea-Ann Belter coming soon!

It is always so exciting around here when we pick up a new designer. This season we added Lea-Ann Belter's simple, sweet, classic gowns to our collection. I would love to see these gowns at Longshore or up on the Cape. We are expecting to have a few of her gowns in the store by the end of the month.

Perfect Finish - Laura Mercier Mineral Foundation

Most brides will have their make up professionally done on their wedding day. Even if you don't have a make up artist at your service there are some great products to help achieve that perfect polished face. Elizabeth at JD's Cosmetic Essentials (http://www.jdscosmeticessentials.com/) recommended Laura Mercier's Mineral Powder to me and I have been using it whenever I need a more finished look. It is a great product to have in your makeup bag for all the other events you have leading up to your wedding - engagement parties, showers, or even just a special night out, when you want to look your best. My skin looks flawless when I use it - thanks for the recommendation Elizabeth!

Chiffon

Everyone is always asking me what is new in bridal. I don't generally have a concrete idea - but this season it is easy - CHIFFON! Lace has been such a big trend lately and I think that chiffon will definitely gain in popularity. It has always been popular for destination weddings but designers are designing styles that could suit a variety of locations.

Here are some of my favorites:

This Romona Keveza is definitely a bombshell look - low cut and sexy but still soft and flowy.

I LOVE this dress - you can imagine that bridal designers get tired of designing only white dresses - so they will occasionally design something in color for the runway. If you an see it - there is just a little band of sparkle just at the waist. I would love this in ivory for a bride, but it would also be amazing for a mother of the wedding in a color.

This draped chiffon Monique Lhuillier gown is absolutely gorgeous. There is not a single embellishment on it, but the draping of the fabric and the fit of the bodice makes it incredibly interesting.
I love little details on dresses. The bit of lace at the neckline is so beautiful. I cannot wait for these dresses to come in!

Some pictures of our brides

I want to try and get as many pictures of our brides as I can on here beacuse it is so fun seeing the final results of a year of planning! So here are a few that I have at my fingertips!

Annie Chiapetta was married last summer in a gorgeous Monique Lhuillier gown. She was so much fun to work with and as you can see from the big smile on her face - she never stopped having fun!!

Annie diGiovanna was married September 1, 2007 at Riverside Yacht Club in an ethereal Vera Wang gown. The contrast between the ivory gown and sable sash is so dramatic and striking. And we can thank Mother Nature for the backdrop of a beautiful sky!

Jen Wendling was married in June 6, 2007 in Greenwich - I love the smile on her face in this image!

Coren Moore Trunk Show November 8 - 11 2007

We are so excited to be hosting a Coren Moore trunk show this weekend. Not only will we have the ENTIRE bridesmaid line but we will also be premiering her bridal line. When I saw the collection at market last month I was thrilled!!

This gown was great - I don't know if you can see it in the picture - but there is just the smallest bit of lace detail at the neckline

This is the Lilly bridesmaids dress - it is not in stores yet and from the moment Coren put it on her website I have been receiving phone calls about it! Even cuter - they are offering it as a Junior Bridesmaid dress as well!

I can't wait to have all the new collection in the store!

Carolina Herrera

I LOVE Carolina Herrera - her gowns are so classic and elegant. These are a few of my favorites that will soon be mine!

This is a new gown called Aspen - one of my favorite things about it is that it is available with a 3/4 length sleeve. There is so much strapless out there right now in bridal that it seems almost "fashion forward" to have a dress with sleeves.

How is this for cool?

You wear a beautiful classic gown for the ceremony:THEN, you take the skirt off and the gown becomes a fun party dress! Two for the price of one!

I love the contrast of the black lace against the ivory mikado. It is available with ivory lace for a more traditional look - but I think the black is so striking and modern.
